The Kinderhaus Waldemar is a long-established parent-run daycare center in Kreuzberg (Waldemarstraße/Bethanienpark) with its own kitchen and a capacity for around 85 children. It is run by the Kinderhaus Waldemar association; early childhood educators and parents work together in partnership. The center offers mixed-age groups as well as separate toddler groups and emphasizes communal, situation-oriented learning.
